We have room for you in Jubilee, MP Kega tells Kalonzo

Kieni Member of Parliament Kanini Kega has called on Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka to ditch the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) and join Jubilee.

Speaking at Joseph Catholic Church Mutituni in Machakos County on Sunday, Kega said that Jubilee has enough room to accommodate Kalonzo saying: “I would like to ask the Kamba community to support Jubilee in its efforts to win the 2017 General Election.”

“We already have the likes of Munyaka and Ndambuki and we are raring to go. My plea to Kalonzo Musyoka is that he should move to Jubilee because we have space to accommodate him.”

Similar sentiments were made by Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria who asked Kalonzo not to settle for anything short of CORD’s presidential ticket.

“I would like to tell Kalonzo not to accept anything short of CORD’s presidential ticket, just the same way he insisted on being Jubilee Coalition’s flag bearer in the run up to the 2013 elections,” said Kuria.

“If ODM’s Raila Odinga and Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetangula are not ready to drop their presidential bids and support you then you should tell the people of Ukambani what you would be bringing them.”

Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko called on Kalonzo to sit with leaders from Ukambani and discuss the future of the people in the region.

“As a government we are ready to talk to Kalonzo and iron out any differences we’ve had in the past and ensure we unite the region ahead of the next elections.”

In his address, Deputy President William Ruto called on leaders to shun politics of division and hatred saying as Jubilee they are dedicated to ensuring the country is united ahead of the next polls.

“Our reason to dissolve parties and form one party was aimed at ending politics of division and hatred and promoting unity in the country,” he said.

The function was also attended by ten MPs among them Vincent Musyoka (Mwala), Victor Munyaka (Machakos Town) and Kisoi Munyao (Mbooni), and 25 MCAs from the region.

Speaking in Mombasa on Saturday Kalonzo called on his CORD co-principal Raila Odinga and Moses Wetangula to drop their ambitions and support his presidential bid.
