We learnt of Uhuru, Raila meeting on TV, say Kalonzo, Wetangula and Mudavadi

NASA leaders Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula now say they were not aware of the unity talks between President Uhuru Kenyatta and their co-principal Raila Odinga.

In a statement signed by the three principals, the trio said that they learnt of the meeting between the two leaders “through the media.”

“This morning, the 9th day of March, we through the media, a meeting between the President and Rt. Hon Raila Amolo Odinga… While we have always advocated for dialogue as co-principals of the NASA coalition, we were not privy to the discussions at Harambee House,” read the statement.

The NASA principals revealed that they have scheduled a retreat – together with Mr. Odinga – on Monday, March 12 where they are expected to deliberate on the latest political development.

All has not been well between the coalition partners since Mr. Odinga took the controversial “oath” at Uhuru Park alone with the three being conspicuously absent from the event.

They have rubbished those reports and tried to show they are together but it is evident, they have been pulling apart.
