We were paid Sh15m by firm implicated in NYS scam- Murkomen’s firm

A lawyer representing a law firm owned by Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen is currently appearing before the National Assembly Public Accounts Committee over the 1.6 billion shillings National Youth Service scandal.

This comes after details emerged showing that Sing’oei Murkomen and Sigei Advocates, the law firm owned by Senator Murkomen received 15 million from Out of the Box Solutions which is linked to the NYS scandal.

Hillary Sigei, the Managing Partner of Singoei Murkomen and Sigei advocates has so far told the watchdog committee that law firm received 15 million shillings from their client Out of the Box Solutions but he says the money was meant for client’s investment.

Deputy President William Ruto’s aide Farouk Kibet has also been summoned by the committee after he was adversely mentioned by witnesses as one of the beneficiaries of the NYS cash.
