We will deliver 50% of Nandi votes to Raila – NASA candidates
Over 100 aspirants vying for various elective seats in Nandi County on the opposition National Super Alliance (NASA) ticket received their nomination certificates and promised to win majority of seats in the region.
The candidates pledged to fulfill their promises to the electorate in then County perceived to be a Jubilee stronghold.
Speaking during the issuance of the certificates in Kapsabet Town, the candidates said that their move to support NASA was necessitated by high cost of living and corruption which have ‘stained’ the Jubilee administration.
They said that Jubilee has lost ground and that Nandi residents are eager to see a change of administration.
Daniel Saina, ODM chairman Nandi County, said that NASA picked best candidates to face off with Jubilee in the August 8 polls.
“We will deliver over 50% of votes in Nandi County to NASA because it has proved to be the best choice to lead the Country and we will make sure that we deliver them at least half of the votes in Nandi,” Saina said.
According to Saina, Jubilee should expect a serious competition from the NASA because they are united and popular across the country.
“The Political landscape is changing rapidly and the voters, being educated, understand the importance of choosing the right crop of leaders Nandi residents want and they will not be left behind in this change. It is naive for the Jubilee candidates who won in the Jubilee party primaries to think that they will win on August 8.”
He added that NASA’s popularity is growing in the region because of Jubilee’s failure to address concerns of the residents.
