We will not accept rigged elections Babu Owino, Aladwa

University of Nairobi student leader Babu Owino has said that ODM will not accept rigged elections in 2017.

Addressing a rally in Chavakali on Monday, Owino called on ODM supporters to vote in the next elections and project their votes.

“After voting in 2017, you have to stay at the polling stations and protect your votes,” he said.

“We will not accept any attempts to rig the elections in 2017. We want free and fair elections.”

Similar sentiments were expressed by Nairobi ODM chair George Aladwa who called for the party supporters to actively participate in the polls.

Aladwa further noted that ODM would not go back to their supporters and cry foul after the polls noting that any plan to rig elections will not be accepted.

Meanwhile, Aladwa has warned CORD affiliate parties against eying the presidential seat saying ODM has decided to support Raila.

He noted that the party would not back any other candidate adding that Raila stands a better chance of defeating President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo spoke up chances of ODM winning the polls saying Jubilee has no numbers to beat Raila Odinga.

The party will spend its second day in Vihiga on Tuesday holding a meeting at Rody’s Green hotel before holding roadside addresses in Khumusalaba, Esirulo, Emusire.
