We will win the presidential election petition – NASA

The Opposition National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders have expressed confidence in the Supreme Court of Kenya to deliver a just, critical and true verdict of the 2017 presidential petition before it.

On Friday, August 18, NASA filed a 25,000 page petition at the highest court in the country challenging IEBC’s declaration of President Uhuru Kenyatta as winner of the 2017 presidential election.

Speaking on Saturday, August 19 at the burial ceremony of slain IEBC ICT Director, Chris Msando, the leaders reiterated that flag bearer, Raila Odinga, did not lose to President Kenyatta and that the latter is a ‘computer-generated leader’ and not people-chosen.

“We are going to the courts so that the truth shall come out. How the courts shall rule is up to them but the beauty is that Kenyans will know how Jubilee stole the elections,” said Mr. Odinga.

On his part, NASA co-principal, Musalia Mudavadi, exuded confidence that NASA legal team will be able to prove to the courts beyond reasonable doubt that indeed President Kenyatta was illegally declared winner of the August polls.

“We know that our legal team will prove our case. The seven Supreme Court Judges should make a critical judgment come September 1. The fate of Kenyans has been bestowed unto them,” said Mudavadi.

Mbita MP-elect, Millie Odhiambo, said that the petition launched by NASA was very crucial for the country that they are going to put all the efforts to prove the rot in IEBC.

“We are going to use every possible means, both legal and spiritual, to prove that President Kenyatta was rigged-in,” said Millie Odhiambo.
