Westgate Mall to Re-open Saturday

The Westgate Shopping Mall is set to re-open this Saturday.

Several businesses had also earlier on announced plans to resume their operations within the mall in Nairobi following its closure after the 2013 terror attack that claimed the lives of over 60 people.

During a media tour to the mall on Tuesday, the management of the mall announced that Nakumatt Holdings, which was one of the mall’s biggest tenants, has confirmed that it will resume operations in the mall.

Nakumatt Westgate, along other key tenants such as ArtCaffé and Ashleys Beauty Centre among others, are also set to resume their operations.

The reconstruction of the high-end mall is said to have cost about Sh3 billion.
