Wetangula denies plans to ditch CORD for Jubilee
Ford Kenya party leader, Moses Wetangula, has rubbished allegations that he intends to decamp from the opposition Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) to join the Jubilee Party ahead of next year’s General Election.
Wetangula says he is in CORD to stay, assuring party aspirants that he will be seeking the presidency on a Ford Kenya party ticket and will start campaigning soon.
He also promised that his party will carry out a fair nomination exercise.
Addressing Ford Kenya delegates at Nzoia Sugar Guest House, he hit out at Deputy President William Ruto over his regular trips to Western, especially Bungoma County, accusing him of misleading the residents.
Wetangula has rooted for unity in CORD to win the coming poll, urging Bungoma residents to register as voters in numbers to better their political prospects.
He also blasted Governor Ken Lusaka as a ‘traitor’ for working with Jubilee.
