Wetangula Escapes Unhurt In Shooting Incident
The incident occurred a few minutes to 11 p.m.
Confirming the incident, Nairobi County Police Commandant Benson Kibue, said Wetangula had just arrived in Nairobi from Mombasa, and was on his way to his Karen home when the incident occurred.
Three other occupants in the vehicle escaped unhurt in the incident.
Accompanied by former Prime-Minister, Raila Odinga, and his spokes-person Maseme Machuka, Wetangula proceeded to the Kilimani police station to record a statement.
Raila termed the incident as unfortunate and urged the police together with the government to fully investigate.
“We are not taking the matter lightly, our officers are doing everything possible to ensure we get the attackers,” said Kibue .
Kibue has asked members of the public to volunteer any information to Criminal Investigations Department (CID) officers probing the matter.
