Wetangula seeks Turkana County’s votes

Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula has urged residents of Turkana County to support his presidential bid in next year’s General Election.

During a tour of the county, Wetangula promised the residents that his government would not discriminate against marginalized areas like Turkana in the distribution of the national cake.

The Coalitions for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) co-principal and promised to fight graft, should he take the top seat in 2017.

Speaking during the burial of former MCA John Lolimo, at Kalokol area in Turkana central, the Bungoma Senator vowed to ensure security is heightened in Turkana.

He also urged people to take identification cards in large numbers

Speaking during the funeral, Senate speaker Ekwe Ethuro warned politicians against practicing divisive politics.

Turkana assembly speaker Geoffrey Kaituko praised the late Lolimo for being a dedicated man in the assembly.

Kaituko took the opportunity to warn all those who had started early campaigns to succeed Lolimo to stop till he writes to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to declare the seat vacant.

This follows reports that premature campaigns  had already started in Kalokol, even before the burial of the late Lolimo.
