What to do in case of a terrorist attack

Taking precautionary actions during a terrorist attack can save your life and possibly other people.

George Musamali, a security analyst gave a step by step breakdown of what to do in case of a terrorist attack.

Step 1:  Look for a safe place and hide. If that is possible.

Step 2: Find a possible route to escape the scene.

“In instances where you are not able to find a place to if it is not possible to find a safe place to conceal yourself  and there is a route you can use to escape then do it,” Musamali told CitizenTV during an interview on Wednesday.

Step 3: If no alternative. Fight.

Musamalia says that terrorists have no other intention apart from kill you whether you  fight or not. He says that you need to be prepared for such an eventuality and if the attacker comes at you then there is need to defend yourself.

On an overall, Musamali says that Kenyans should be on the look out emphasising that: ” When it looks suspicious, it is suspicious,”

He further noted that it was the high time that Kenyan citizens be trained on what to do during a terrorist attack such as that witnessed during the Westgate and 14 Riverside attacks.
