Where is Babu Owino now? DJ Evolve hospital bill hits Ksh.7M

The hospital bill of Felix Orinda, popularly known as DJ Evolve has hit Ksh.7M with no end in sight for the disk jockey whose family says is still in critical condition.

An estimate of the bill from the hospital so far shows the DJ owes the hospital Ksh.6,684,000.

Embakasi South MP Babu Owino had made an initial payment of Ksh.600,000 when the B-club Dj was admitted.

The family is now in a dilemma as the bill balloons on the backdrop of the MP’s application to have his bail terms reviewed.

A Nairobi court had ordered Owino to pay Ksh.10M in four monthly instalments which would go towards the hospital bill.

The MP initially made a payment of Ksh.2.5M but is yet to pay the second instalment as per a report by K24.

Orinda’s family now says they cannot afford to foot the hospital bill even if they sell most of their property, saying they have been receiving calls from Nairobi Hospital to offset the bill.

The bill records Ksh1.66M in doctors fees, Ksh.1.3M in pharmacy charges, Ksh.913, 683 in nursing charges and Ksh.990,000 in room rent.

There is also a physiotherapy charge of 494,100 among other charges.

Reports say the DJ who was shot on the neck by the MP during a night out is currently unable to speak and is fed through tubes.
