Where you can donate blood for those injured in 14 Riverside attack
The Kenya Red Cross and hospitals in Nairobi have made a fresh appeal for blood donation following the 14 Riverside attack in Nairobi.
This comes after President Uhuru Kenyatta confirmed that 14 people were killed during the siege, but another 700 rescued.
Reports also indicate that over 30 people suffered serious injuries and were admitted to various hospitals.
Uber Kenya also urged citizens to donate blood saying the company would cater for two free rides to the medical facilities indicated.
“Nairobi, join us in assisting victims of the tragic Westlands attack by donating blood! Enter the code NBODONATE & get 2 free Uber rides to: Avenue, M.P. Shah, Aga Khan & Kenyatta Hospitals, as well as August 7th Memorial Park,” the Twitter message reads.
Below is a list of facilities in Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu where those willing to donate blood can visit:

- Bomb Blast Memorial Park
- Kenyatta National Hospital
- MP Shah Hospital
Mombasa
- Kenya Red cross offices on Moi Avenue, opposite University of Nairobi’s Mombasa campus
Kisumu
- Regional Blood Transfusion Center next to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital
