On Who Owns Kenya, we focus on Uchumi Supermarkets which are one of Kenya’s oldest supermarkets. Uchumi was founded in 1976 by three government parastatals namely The Industrial Commercial And Development Corporation (ICDC), Kenya Wine Agencies Limited (KWAL) and The Kenya National Trading Corporation (KNTC) to promote the sale and distribution of products for local industries.
