Wife stabs husband to death in Thika
Police in Thika have launched a manhunt for a woman who allegedly stabbed her husband to death on Friday after a domestic dispute.
Confirming the incident on Friday, Thika deputy OCPD Bernard Ayoo said the deceased, a property caretaker at Ngoingwa Estate in Thika town , had just called his employer to intervene after quarreling with his wife.
“This incident happened at around 9:00 pm. He called the employer that they are having a problem and they needed his intervention to come and resolve the problem,” said Oyoo.
Neighbors said they have a quarrel followed by screams and when they went to check on what was happening, they found the victim identified as Fredrick Mwangi lying in a pool of blood on the floor.
“One of the residents heard some cries and when he went, he found the man had been stabbed several times,” said Oyoo.
The suspect, a mother of one, is alleged to have screamed after the killing and later took off with her three-year-old child.
The body of the deceased was taken to General Kago Funeral Home in Thika.
