Witchdoctor Nabbed In Thika

44 year old Peter Kinyanjui Ndung’u  from Mukarara village of Kihumbu-ini division Gatanga sub-county of Murang’a County, was apprehended by detectives from Thika following complainants from members of public who had fallen prey to the sorcerer’s tricks.

Thika OCPD Paul Leting said the suspect was arrested by detectives.

A lady police officer went to his hide out at Mukiriti garden in Thika Town pretending to be a client.

As the suspect treated the undercover agent, her colleagues pounced on him and arrested him.

The suspect had painted himself, wore beaded laces and had assorted paraphernalia which police took away as exhibits.

A patient’s card recovered from the suspect showed that a client, 21 year old  Samuel Nduati, had been asked to bring 42 quail’s eggs and a black hen.

Another card showed that Raphael Wambua had also attended the “clinic”.

A poster showed that the witch doctor was capable of “treating” relationship problems, crush court cases, stop infidelity, protect marriage, enhance potency and exorcise demons among other treatment.

Leting who was accompanied by area deputy D.C.I.O Milkah Chepkwony and crime officers Ben Kivaa and J.M Kasee said the suspect would be arraigned in court on Monday.
