Woman allegedly murdered by husband in Migori
A middle-aged woman was Thursday morning found dead in her house in Sori Town, Nyatike Sub County after she was allegedly strangled by her husband over marital problems.
Area Assistant Chief, Barnabas Majiwa, said they suspect that the woman, identified as Lorine Adhiambo, was murdered by her husband who is currently in hiding.
Majiwa said they found the body lying on the floor and there was some discharge from the mouth, an indication that she was either strangled or poisoned.
The Chief said the deceased was married for less than a month to the suspect who is a Tanzanian national.
The body of the deceased was removed to St. Camilus Hospital Mortuary awaiting an autopsy as police pursue the suspect.
