Woman arrested after stabbing, killing 19-year-old KCSE candidate in Migori
Police officers in Migori County are presently holding a 27-year-old woman who stabbed and killed a 19-year-old Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams candidate.
The incident reportedly occurred at Kamagambo area on Wednesday at 10pm, upon which the woman – Joyce Achieng Omondi – locked herself up in her house.
She reportedly only opened the door after police officers arrived on the scene and surrendered bearing the kitchen knife she used to commit the crime.
She is currently in custody as detectives investigate the motive behind the killing.
The deceased, a male student at Kuna Secondary School, was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment but succumbed in the wee hours of Thursday morning.
