Woman arrested for attempting to sell two children at Ksh.400K

A woman in her 20s was arrested for attempting to sell her two children aged one and half years and three years in Migori.

Triza Moziam, a mother of four, was taken to Migori Police Station on Wednesday.

It is alleged that she approached several people within Migori town seeking Ksh.400, 000 for the two children.

She told police that she opted to sell the two girls so that she could meet her financial obligations as she has no job and is unable to fend for them.

Triza further revealed that she had been forced to resort to begging on the streets.

Her two other children are boys aged 5 years and they are reportedly living with her friend in Kisumu.

Mr.Ayubu Otieno, a businessman from Migori town, called on area leaders to intervene in the matter since the two children are more advantaged.

Migori County Children’s Officer John Odinya said they are investigating the matter.
