Police officers from Nguka and Kiamaciri had a difficult time trying to control angry residents.

The irate mob camped at Nguka Police Post from 9am to 1am and even threw stones into the compound.

“We were forced to ask for reinforcement from the neighboring Wang’uru Police Post in Mwea-West sub-county and they came to our rescue,” a senior police officer said.

It was only after Mwea West Police Commander Aden Alio arrived at the scene and talked to the residents that police officers were allowed to take the body to Mwea Mission Hospital Mortuary in Karira.
