Woman commits suicide over domestic disagreement

A somber mood engulfed Kericho District Hospital’s staff quarters after a middle-aged woman committed suicide over suspected domestic disagreement with her UK-based husband.

According an eye-witness, the deceased’s sister who works as a nurse at the hospital found her lifeless body dangling from the ceiling of the room.

The woman, who reportedly jetted back into the country two weeks ago from the United Kingdom where she was working as lawyer, hanged herself using a scarf in her sister’s house where she has been staying since she arrived in the country.

The residents also revealed that the woman told them she was depressed and had spoken to her husband who had told her not to return to the UK. She was scheduled to return to the UK today.

The body of the deceased was taken to Siloam Hospital mortuary in Kericho town as police  launch investigations into her death.
