Woman dumps newborn baby in pit latrine over domestic squabble
Police are holding a middle aged woman from Shitirira village, Malava Constituency Kakamega County, after she allegedly threw her newborn baby in a pit larine following a domestic squabble.
The suspect, Joyce Aluoch, is alleged to have committed the act after realizing that his husband had married another woman.
While confirming the incident, Ernest Mmasava, the area chief cautioned parents against involving children in their domestic quarrels.
“I urge all parents to find more amicable ways of solving issues. The government and the church are also avenues you can seek to solve disputes,” said Mmasava
The body of the deceased baby was moved to Webuye Hospital’s mortuary.
