Woman Gives Birth To 4 Babies In Bungoma

Esther Lusweti who hails from Matulo village in Webuye East district had been admitted at the facility on Tuesday morning after her labour pains started

Anne Wakhungu, a nurse in-charge of child care said the woman shocked medical experts as she delivered all four children normally.

She said that the lady was quite lucky because owing to her age and size, she still managed to bear quadruplets.

Lusweti was still in shock when told that she was a mother of four healthy babies.

The children weighed 2.2kgs, 1.6kgs, 2kgs and 1.3kgs.

She was expecting only one baby.

Two of the children are in the incubator but might be released to their mother later Thursday as they are in a stable condition.

The babies are currently under special attention from the doctors before they are discharged from the hospital.
