Woman gives birth to quintuplets in Kakamega, is now mother of 9
A 28-year-old woman delivered five babies at Kakamega General Hospital on Wednesday.
Evelyn Namukhula, who is now a mother of nine children, gave birth to three girls and two boys through a Caesarean Section.
Namukhula and her husband Herbert Wawire live in Sisokhe village in Navakholo Constituency.
Two years ago, another woman in Homa Bay County also gave birth to quintuplets.
Jacinta Akinyi Ochieng, 30, delivered the babies that weighed between 1.6 to 1.9 kilograms.
She had been seven months pregnant at the time of the delivery.
In Uganda, a man was shocked after his wife gave birth to more children than he had expected.
He and his wife had reportedly been trying to have children for the past 24 years and eventually decided to try In vitro fertilisation (IVF).
