Woman in Court for Conning Investors of Sh 5M

Roselyn Kamau Njoki is said to have collected money from eleven different people pretending that she was in a position to invest the money in a stock that would earn interest within 39 working days, a fact she knew to be false.

Njoki is also said to have posed as a director in Absolute Investment Company based at TRV plaza, Muthithi Road in Westlands, Nairobi.

Njoki is also alleged to have operated with others not before court to obtain money fraudulently.

The complainants before court were defrauded of the money between the year 2013 and 2014.

While appearing before Senior Principal Magistrate Grace Mmasi, Njoki denied all the 11 counts and was released on a cash bail of Sh1 million with an alternative bond of Sh3 million.

The case is set for hearing on 3rd June, 2015.
