Woman stabbed to death by ex-husband in Kitui

A 35-year-old woman was Monday morning stabbed to death by her ex-husband at Kalambya village in Kitui County.

The woman, who worked as a house maid, was reportedly at her workplace when the man showed up and sparked an argument before he unleashed a knife, stabbing her several times.

Confirming the incident, Kakeani Area Chief Patrick Ndoo said the man then tried to commit suicide by stabbing himself with the same knife but was stopped by residents who arrived at the scene.

The body of the deceased was taken to Kitui Level Four Hospital morgue.

The suspect was detained at Ndolos Corner Police Station as investigations continue.
