Woman, two children killed by lightning in Tharaka Nithi

A woman and her two children died on Saturday after they were struck by lightning in Kamujwa village in Tharaka Nithi County.

According to the husband, Gichuri Mwamba, his wife had just come home from a meeting when the shocking incident happened.

Mr. Mwamba, who was not at home at the time of the incident, said that his wife and four children were inside their house on Friday at around 8PM when the incident occurred.

Residents have been urged to be cautious as the rainy season sets in, with heavy rains continue to be experienced in the eastern regions of Embu, Tharaka Nithi and Meru Counties.
