Woman who hosted 44 children at house party detained for 7 days

Millicent Kithinji, the host of 44 children arrested at a house party in Nairobi’s Mountain View Estate, was on Monday detained for 7 days pending probe completion.

Ms Kithinji was arraigned and detained alongside three other suspects namely David Kibe Wambui, George Kamau Muthoni, and Michael Murega.

The prosecution told the court that the teenagers were involved in pornography and drugs in the presence of the four suspects.

The court heard that Kibe and Kamau, who are businessmen in Mountain View area, were involved in the supply of drugs and alcohol to the teenagers.

The suspects will be remanded at Kabete Police station.

They were arrested on Sunday in Kithinji’s house where 44 kids – including 26 boys and 18 girls aged between 14 and 17 years – were found.

In a statement after the arrests, DCI detectives said various alcohol brands – whisky and vodka – and bhang were recovered.
