Woman who killed husband by chopping off genitals arrested

Police at Bamburi area in Mombasa County on Sunday arrested a 35-year-old woman who is suspected of killing her husband on Saturday following a domestic dispute.

Security officials reportedly arrested the suspect at the north coast where she was hiding after allegedly committing the offence.

The suspect reportedly attacked and killed her husband in a jealous rage after she suspected that he had spent two days with another woman.

Witnesses told Citizen Digital that the woman had traced her husband to a nearby bar where a bitter exchange of words ensued.

According to Catherine Kemboi, an eyewitness, the two went to their house, which is located about 50 metres from the bar.

A few minutes later, she emerged from the house and escaped on a motorbike.

The man reportedly sustained deep cuts on his private parts and died from excessive bleeding.

Police say the woman is held at Bamburi Police Station and will be arraigned in court Monday morning.
