Women MPs Back President Kenyatta’s Directive
The five; Mary Wambui, Othaya, Esther Murugi, Nyeri town, and women representatives Wanjiku Muhia, Priscilla Nyokabi and Elizabeth Nyongesa of Nyandarua, Nyeri and Transzoia counties respectively said those whose names appear in the confidential report must resign.
FACILITATE INVESTIGATIONS
The Mps said that leaving office for a while will facilitate carrying out investigations that will either absolve those not in the wrong or lead to the prosecution of those accused of stealing public funds.
They however warned against the politicisation of the process, saying that some have already started using it as an excuse to bring division in the Jubilee Administration, urging supporters to remain steadfast to defeat corruption.
The Mps were speaking at Saint Thomas ACK, Kariki, Othaya where they had attended a thanksgiving ceremony upon completion of the construction of a new church.
Royal Media Chairman Dr S. K Macharia, through the Othaya MP made a contribution of Sh1 million for furnishing the newly completed church.
