Worlds Oldest Woman Turns 117

Okawa was born on March 5th, 1898 in Osaka. As she celebrated her birthday on March 4th, 2015 she insisted living this long is really no big deal.

When asked about how she felt about reaching the milestone birthday, she simply said, "It seemed rather short," but added she was "very happy."

Okawa said that eating well, getting her eight hours of sleep at night and knowing how to relax are what have kept her going so long. However, as she celebrated her birthday today, she said that she's not so sure what the secret to longevity is.
