WWE star and Undertakers brother Kane wins US mayoral race

Professional wrestler Glenn Jacobs, the masked burly fighter popularly known as Kane to World Wrestling Entertainment fans has won a major political race in his hometown of Knox County in Tennessee.

According to The Hill, the WWE world champion on Tuesday won the Republican primary by 17 votes.

“Thanks to everyone who helped win this historic victory!!” Jacobs tweeted. “The people who cast a ballot for me, my great team, my wonderful volunteers. Looking forward to VICTORY in the general election!”

But despite the proclamation of victory, CBS reported that official results on the election will not be in until next Thursday.

“Should these results hold, though, one should expect Jacobs to cruise in the final race and become mayor considering there were more than five times as many Republicans voting than Democrats in Knox County,” reported CBS.

Jacobs, who launched his bid for office in March 2017, began his WWE career after college and wrestled in all 50 U.S. states and more 40 countries.

Kane, who plays Undertaker’s on-screen brother is described on the WWE’s website as “a monstrous abomination that seems to have been extracted directly from your childhood nightmares.”

Kane was supported by other WWE stars, like “The Big Show” Paul Wight, Nattie and WWE official Charles Robinson, on the campaign trail and on social media.
