You can count on us Governor Wamathai to Uhuru

Nyeri Governor, Samuel Wamathai, has reassured President Uhuru Kenyatta of Nyeri’s support in the August 8 polls saying he will rally Nyeri residents to ensure that the Head of State is re-elected.

Speaking during the Madaraka Day celebrations held at Kabiruini Stadium in Nyeri County, Wamathai said that he will drum up support for Kenyatta .

“I will make sure that the people you see here today give you five more years to finish what you have started not only here in Nyeri but other counties as well,” Wamathai said as he addressed the fete.

Wamathai also used the platform to ask voters to rally behind him in the coming elections urging them to give him time to  finish ongoing projects.

Wamathai rose to power after the death of the County’s first governor, Nderitu Gachagua.
