You cannot disband IEBC forcefully Uhuru to Raila

President Uhuru Kenyatta has asked the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) leader Raila Odinga to consider using constitutional channels in his quest to have  the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) disbanded instead of using demonstrations.

Speaking at Kebirigo market in Nyamira County during the commissioning of the tarmacking of 14 kilometer Kebirigo -Mosobeti road, Kenyatta criticized Raila’s use of demonstrations when he was well aware of the right channels to follow.

The President questioned why Raila resorted to  what he termed as ‘divisive politics’ when he was the biggest proponent of the 2010 constitution.

Kenyatta, who was accompanied by his deputy William Ruto, asked the residents of Nyamira to support the Jubilee government’s effort to unite the country.

The Deputy President used the platform to woo the people of Nyamira County by highlighting key Jubilee achievements.

He said the Jubilee government had connected all the primary schools in the county to the national grid and that the government has ensured all public hospitals do not charge women who give birth at the facilities.

Earlier in the day, President Kenyatta visited Nyamira Level 5 Hospital before commissioning Kebirigo -Mosobeti  road on his way to Ekerubo Gietai Technical Training Institute.

The President said the government has set aside 450 million shillings for the construction of the road .

The President is in a two day tour of Nyamira and Kisii counties.
