Your days are numbered, CS Karoney tells Kisii landgrabbers

The National Land Commission has revoked 10 titles deeds that were illegally acquired in Kisii County.

This came after a public audit by the commission last year that revealed 600 parcels of public land were fraudulently acquired.

CS Lands Farida Karoney sad that there will be more revocations of such fake tiles in the coming days.

The CS who was speaking at the Kisii Governor’s office, added that 66 land registrars across the nation will be reshuffled to improve service delivery to wananchi (citizens).

She added that a special legal committee will be set up to identify the roles of the national and county government on land survey matters.

On his part, Kisii Governor James Ongwae accused the departments of Survey and Valuation of not collaborating with his officers which hampers service delivery.
