Your Story: The Feared Forest Custodian

On your story this week, we take you to Kaya Mrima Forest in Kwale County that the local Mijikenda community believes is holy and that answering a call of nature there is catastrophic as it disturbs the gods and the ancestors. Residents of Kwale further believe that cutting down a tree in the holy forest is tantamount to booking a death ticket. Judy Kosgei met one of the custodians of the kaya mrima forest who took her on a tour of the sacred forest.
