26 candidates cleared as Gor polls draw nearer

Gor Mahia elections board has on Friday released the list of candidates ahead of the club polls scheduled for December 11 with 26 aspirants cleared for the various posts.

The Chairman’s position has attracted three candidates; incumbent Ambrose Rachier, former Secretary General Chris Omondi and Dan Oketch.

Francis Wasuna is unopposed for the Senior Vice Chairman seat, confirming him the already known office bearer before the polls.

Ronald Ngala, the current Assistant Secretary General, will battle it out with Ruben William Ojijo for the Deputy Secretary General position as Organizing Secretary David Ochieng’ Nyandega defends his seat against Judith Anyango.

Patrick Lumumba Adera is the chair of the electoral board tasked with delivering credible polls for the 15-time national champions, alongside Mohammed Ibrahim (Vice- Chair), Kennedy Mbara (Secretary) and Gichu Wahome (Treasurer).

Senior Vice Chairman: Francis Wasuna

First Vice Chairman: John Pesa and Faiz Ochieng.

Second Vice Chairman: George Oria Ongudi and David Oduol Kilo.

Secretary General: Kwenda Samuel Ochola, Ben Omondi Odongo and Joseph Ogidi Oyoo.

Deputy Secretary General: Ngala Ronald Ng’onga and Ruben William Ojijo

Assistant Deputy Secretary General: Kevin Odhiambo Mbuya and John Ochieng Onyango

Treasurer: Kennedy Ouma, Sally Bolo, Jared Odhiambo Omolo and Chito Moses Njeria

Assistant Treasurer: Gerphas Okuku Ogola, Carilus Onyango and Calvince Okeyo Bungu

Organizing Secretary: David Ochieng Nyandega and Judith Anyango

Assistant Organizing Secretary: Sammy Ochieng Ogola and Beryl Peres Anyango
