Agege leaves Belarusian club Isloch

Kenyan international Mohamed Katana Nyanje alias Messi Agege has left Belarusian side Isloch FC after the expiry of his contract.

Agege joined the club in September 2020 from Bandari FC and managed just two games with the senior team with another three with the reserves.

The club thanked Katana, who received a call up to the national team Harambee Stars last year, and wished him all the best in the future.

In a statement, the club said, “The Kenyan footballer has said goodbye to the “Wolves” (Isloch) and has received a free agent status.

“The midfielder joined our club in September 2020 and since that time where he played 2 matches for the main team and 3 times in the backup team and gave one assist and in the fall of the last season, he was called up for the first time in the national team of his country”.

“We thank Mohamed for his cooperation and wish you the best in your future careers.”

The 21-years-old is back in the country and likely to stay without a club for a while with the FKF Premier League window already closed.

The Aspire Academy graduate played a single match for Bandari last season where he scored against Zoo FC in Mbaraki before flying out to Belarus and joined FC Smolevichi and later switched to another side FC Isloch.
