All set for KCB Eldoret Rally

The 5^th round of the Kenya National Rally Championship sponsored by the Kenya Commercial Bank will be held on Saturday July 5, 2015 at Kerio Valley in Elgeyo Marakwet County.

The rally dubbed KCB Eldoret Rally will begin on Friday with scrutineering and official reconnaissance of the 151km route and final touches on the major stages.

According to the clerk of the course, Ravi Tailor, 54, cars have already confirmed participation in the event.

Tailor said the event, run by Western Motor Club, will see the drivers start at Kenya Commercial Bank in Eldoret Town at 7am, with the course-line including Kipsaos-Kocholwo, Flouspar, Nyaru and Tenges junction and Nyaru-Flouspar Hill.

Participants will be required to repeat some courses along Kerio Valley with Kipsaos to Kimwarer the longest ones.

Tailor said the event has attracted, amongst other top drivers, Carl Tundo driving an Evolution 4, Rajbi Rai and Charte who have been leading in the other four series.
