English Premier League club Arsenal FC has become the latest organization to pay tributes to victims of the ill-fated Ethiopian Airlines flight that crashed Sunday on its way to Kenya.

A total 32 Kenyans including football administrator Hussein Swaleh were among the 157 people killed when the plane crashed just minutes after takeoff from Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa.

“Our thoughts are with the loved ones of those who lost their lives on the Ethiopian Airlines flight from Addis Ababa to Nairobi.

“We are so sorry for your loss,” Arsenal said in a statement posted on their Facebook page.

German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund and Italian outfit AS Roma were among the first football clubs to mourn the crash victims, tweeting the condolences and messages of support for affected families.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims – passengers, crew and their families – of the Ethiopian Airlines plane crash this morning,” Dortmund wrote on micro-blogging site Twitter on Sunday.

“We are deeply saddened by the news about the Ethiopian Airlines plane crash and the tragic loss of life of all those on board. Our thoughts are with the families and friends of the passengers and crew,” AS Roma wrote.

Sunday’s crash was the second involving the 737 Max 8 model in less than five months, after the Lion Air disaster off Indonesia, in which 189 people died in October.
