Bandari ace Ochomo in stable condition after surgery

Bandari FC burly striker Wycliffe Ochomo underwent a successful elbow surgery at the weekend and is now expected to begin his rehabilitation, under the close watch of club doctors.

Ochomo, the current top scorer at Bandari with five goals, was injured during their sweet-savoured 1-0 win over  Kariobangi sharks at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani  at the weekend, and was rushed to Guru Nanak Hospital in Nairobi where he underwent the procedure.

In a phone interview with Citizen Digital,  Ochomo said he’s making steady progress.

“I am well though still under medication and I will be flying back to Mombasa tomorrow(Monday) 10am.”

The former Muhoroni Youth striker has scored five goals so far two behind current league top scorer, Enosh Ochieng, of Ulinzi stars.

Ochomo who last found the back of the net against AFC Leopards in Mombasa regretted that the injuries are taking a toll on him hence delaying his quest for the Golden Boot.

“It’s every player’s dream to be a top scorer but for now its too early and the injuries are also after us, so let’s wait and see,” said Ochomo.

Bernard Mwalala will have to depend on Congolese Yema Mwama and Ugandan William Wadri to hunt for goals as they search for their maiden league title this season.
