Bandari, City Stars progress to FKF Cup quarters

Defending champions Bandari FC thrashed Sigalagala TTI 5-0 to cruise into the quater-finals of the FKF Cup on Sunday with Benjamin Mosha hitting a first half brace to spark the demolition.

Despite making some changes in his starting squad, the Andre Casa Mbungo coached side strated the match on a high note as in form Mosha scored just after four minutes with a fine solo move.

Mosha turned creator feeding Wilberfoce Lugogo who scored the second of the afternoon and the two combined again as the former got on the end of his teammate’s corner kick to score the third with with a wonderful header.

After the break, Casa Mbungo then introduced Yema Mwana, Hassan Idd, Dan Guya and Danson Chetambe in search for more goals and it was Yema who found the back of the net after only five minutes of introduction connecting Darius Msagha’s cross.

In added time, it was Cleophas Oluoch who scored in his own as they he was trying to clear Dariys Msagha’s cross who was in search of Yema Mwana.

Bandari will now face division one side Equity FC in the quarter-final next week in search of the continental ticket.

Elsewhere at Ruaraka, Nicolas Kipkirui and Davis Agesa each scored a goal as Nairobi City Stars dispatched Ulinzi Stars to book Bidco United in the last 8 of the tourney.
