Bandari climbed into third on the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) standings to keep pace with the title chasing pack thanks to Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Kakamega Homeboyz at the Mbaraki Sports Club.

Wycliffe Ochomo hit the target on stoppage time of the first half to give the Dockers the lead going into the break. This was the only goal of the tie to hand Bandari a home win.

At the Green Stadium in Kericho, Zoo FC registered a victory with an identical 1-0 score line against Chemelil Sugar with Nicholas Kipkirui’s lone strike coming just seven minutes after restart to get the hosts back to winning ways.

This is a fifth defeat in six games for the sugar millers who have only collected a point in their previous five outings.

Bandari move to third on 35 points, a point above Mathare United who will face second placed Sofapaka on Sunday in Machakos whilst Zoo move to 24 points.
