Bandari coach Muhiddin on Harambee Stars radar

Bandari FC technical director Twahir Muhiddin has remained coy amid reports he is a leading candidate for selection as Jacob Ghost Mulee’s assistant in the Kenya national team Harambee Stars bench.

According to Muhiddin whom together with Mulee led stars to AFCON 2004 said that he has not been contacted by the federation despite hearing reports that he is considered for the post.

“I have just heard the reports like you but there is no official communication from the fedearation as we speak”, clarified Muhiddin.

At the same time Muhiddin has affirmed that he is ready to steer stars to the AFCON and World Cup if given the chance to deputize Mulee.

“I am very ready for the challenge if given chance and I am sure we have a big chance to qualify for AFCON and World Cup considering our groups are not tough.”

Jacob Ghost Mulee was appointed yesterday by Football Kenya Federation to replace Francis Kimanzi and given a free hand to pick his technical bench.

There are speculations going round that Twahir Muhiddin and former Harambee Stars captain Musa Otieno are both considered for the assistant coach position.

The first assignment for Mulee and his yet to be named bench will be AFCON qualifier matches against Comoros in a double header early next month.
