Bandari coach Mwalala calm as team prepares for trip to Guinea

Bandari FC head coach Bernard Mwalala is calm ahead of this Sunday’s CAF Confederations Cup clash against AC Horoya of Guinea noting that there are no injuries concerns in the squad.

The team resumed training yesterday after Chemelil Sugar FC handed them a walkover on Saturday and Mwalala admits his players are ready to face the Guinean giants who have more experience in the continental tournaments.

“All players are fit and in contention  for a travel space. We will name them in the morning before we depart in the evening,”explained Mwalala.

According to Mwalala, they have analyzed their opponents through  their match videos describing them as a very tactical and skillful side warning his players to be on alert if they are to get at least a draw away.

“They (Horoya) are very tactical so we will approach them with caution as we did against the other two opponents,”said Mwalala.

He added: “Defending will be the key thing away and if we get a goal it will be an advantage for us; we also have to avoid conceding.”

Bandari jets out tomorrow evening ahead of their first leg playoff game on Sunday at the Stade du 28 Septembre.

Their return leg will be held at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani  on November 3 with the aggregate winner sealing a slot in the group stage of the tourney.

Elsewhere, Gor Mahia’s opponent DC Motema Pembe are pitching camp in Rwanda for 3 days before connecting to Nairobi where they will play their first leg.
