Bandari hit Sharks to return to winning ways

Bandari FC bounced back to winning ways registering a 3-0 when they hosted Kariobangi Sharks at the Mbaraki Sports Club on Saturday afternoon.

William Wadri scored twice on either half with Joshua Oyoo hitting the target on stoppage time to all but confirm all three points were in the bag for the Dockers.

Wadri opened his account on the 15th minute giving the Bandari the lead. Sharks could not find a response and went into the break a goal down.

The hosts doubled their lead on the 73rd minute as Wadri found the mark again to score his second of the afternoon.

Joshua Oyoo wrapped up a fine afternoon for Ken Odhiambo’s side netting a 92nd minute goal.

At the Thika Municipal Stadium, the hosts put up an unsuccessful come back to go down 2-1 in the hands of Nakumatt to continue a winless run, collecting just 2 points in six games.

Cornelius Juma shot the retailers to the lead in the 10th minute before Franco Balabala equalised for United seven minutes after.

However, John Njogu’s charges conceded on the brink of halftime as John Njoroge restored his sides’ advantage on the 43rd to go into the break 2-1 and win the match on the same score line.

Bandari now have 39 points to keep up the fight for the chasing pack going with Sofapaka and Ulinzi set to play on Sunday.

Nakumatt move to 28 points to pull themselves away from the sight of relegation as Thika’s struggle to collect points continue.
