Bandari to face Stima with no head coach in place yet

Football Kenya Federation Premier League side Bandari FC will likely face their next opponent Western Stima without a head coach as the club’s leadership is yet to settle on one.

According to the club Chief Executive Officer Edward Oduor, currently the board is on holiday and they will resume work next week when they will conclude their search for a new tactician, expected to steer the club in the coming months.

“The board is on holiday break for now we will meet next week to finalize on the new coach,”explained Oduor.

Oduor has at the same time refuted claims that they have already settled on Gor Mahia FC assistant coach Patrick Odhiambo who had confirmed interest from the coastal side.

“People will always say anything, so those are their stories but ours will be out when the right time comes.”

Bandari lost their coach Ken Odhiambo to their counterparts Sofapaka FC after only three rounds of matches in the new season.

The dockers who lost their last home game against KCB will play host to Western Stima on Sunday at their Mbaraki dockyard in round six of the league searching for their second win of the season since winning the opening game against Sofapaka.

Assistant coach Nasoro Mwakobo and team manager Wilson Obungu will continue to lead the team until the appointment of a new coach.

The Mombasa based side has only won one game, lost two and drew an equal number in their first five fixtures.
