Basketball league to tip off on Jan 16 with Warriors facing Terror

Basketball lovers can finally look forward to a new season after the Kenya Kenya Basketball Federation released fixtures with the top tier league primed to tip off on January 16 2021.

Due to the pandemic there hasn’t been action on the courts but this is about to change with Men Premier League champions Ulinzi Warriors set to launch their title defence against new boys Terror on Jan 16 at the Nyayo Stadium Gymnasium in Nairobi.

Last season first runners up Thunder will meanwhile face off with Umoja from 4pm, also at the same venue in round one action, while giants Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) will be at home at the Makande Gymnasium in Mombasa against new boys KU Pirates as Lakeside will welcome EMYBA at Kisumu Sports Ground.  Strathmore’s Blades will confront Equity Bank at Nyayo.

In the women’s league, defending champions Equity Bank will begin their quest for yet another gong against USIU on January 17 while their all-time rivals KPA will be in Mombasa to face KU ORYX.

Eagle Wings will face Zetech at Nyayo Gymnasium on Saturday while newly promoted Kisumu Ladybucks will tackle fellow newbies Riara University in Kisumu.

Masaku Sparks will contend with UON Dynamites at Nyayo Gymnasium while Strathmore face the Storms.
