Big boys impress as debutants struggle in Kenya Cup

Big guns maintained their good form in week two of Kenya Cup action while promoted sides are yet to impress.

Impala Saracens overcame Mwamba RFC 30-3 at the Impala Club to maintain their top spot with ten points.

Defending champions KCB RFC are second with ten points too after a hard fought victory against newly promoted Kisii RFC.

In an interview with Citizen Digital KCB head coach Curtis Olago attributed his boy’s victory in Kisii to dedication and discipline.

“There were times that we cited poor officiating when we had clear chances to score, but we can only hope for the best in the future,”Olago said, adding: “We were patient and I loved the way we carried the ball on their 22 yard, you could see the urge and dedication we have put in, and the way we tried different player’s combinations, and that will be key to our success this season.”
