Kenya Premier League side Vihiga United has been handed a massive boost following the return of skipper Bernard Ochieng.
Skipper Ochieng had been out for two weeks with a wound on his ankle. The injury was picked during their encounter against Sofapaka in Narok and he subsequently failed to feature against Kakamega Homeboyz and Thika United.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, Vihiga United technical director Edward Manoah said the return of Ochieng will be of great importance to the team.
“We are happy for his return and we hope his services will add great value in our quest to remain in the league,” Manoah said.
However Morven Otinya is still sidelined with a knee injury he suffered in the 1-0 defeat to AFC Leopards at the Mumias Sports Complex a month ago.
“We expected Otinya to take as little time as possible but things haven’t been as expected. The good news is that he’s started light training and we are examining him,” added Manoah.
